This is a very well built watch, as nearly all Casios are. When not using it in bluetooth mode, it is a perfectly acceptable regular watch with a standard battery and all the normal functions found on Casio's basic digital watches. And, the price is quite reasonable.

As a bluetooth device, the watch is of marginal use. For one thing, the bluetooth connection with an Iphone 5 is a bit spotty. It connects without issue, but then drops the connection if the phone is any farther than a few feet away. I imagine this is done to conserve battery life, but reconnecting it is not always automatic and takes some fiddling around with the phone and app.

Paired with Wahoo (I didn't try Runmeter), the watch works as advertised. You can do some basic customization via the Wahoo and Casio apps and the readout provides basic metrics like heart rate (when using a strap), distance and speed. The readout is quite small, and I found it difficult to read it clearly. Also, the buttons are quite small, so attempting to change music takes more trouble than it's worth. Don't expect detailed metrics from this watch.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the watch has no ability to update itself in order to add new firmware or add additional apps that it works with. It only supports a few apps, and it appears that is all it ever will support, since there is no way to update it. That was a large oversight on Casio's part, as there are always new, and often better, fitness apps hitting the market, and without the ability to upgrade the watch, you're stuck with its limited functionality.

All in all, it's much easier to simply use the phone to track a workout. The Casio doesn't really add anything that you can't live without.
